Ian Kinder is an Executive Director at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills; he was previously the Commission’s Deputy Director of Strategy and Performance. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Ian leads on one of the four Commission outcomes; more employers stepping up and taking ownership of skills. Ian is also the Commission’s lead Director for relationships with the Welsh Government.
Ian previously worked for the Learning & Skills Council in Lancashire as Partnership Director where he was responsible for post 16 funding and delivery and the Lancashire 14-19 strategy. Before that Ian held a number of senior roles in government departments working on enterprise and small business policy, and in regional and national skills policy roles including developing the Investors in People Standard.
