Preliminary announcement for Investors in People delivery arrangements in England

The UK Commission for Employment and Skills announces the licences for the Investors in People delivery network.
Following a rigorous and competitive application and assessment process, the UK Commission for Employment and Skills is pleased to announce it has offered licences to deliver Investors in People to the following organisations from April 2011.*
- Improvement Development Growth Ltd (idg) (covering Yorkshire and Humberside, North West and North East)
- EMB Excellence Ltd (covering West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England)
- Inspiring Business Performance (IBP) Ltd (covering London, South East and South West). IBP will deliver Investors in People services in the South West through a managed relationship with the current delivery partner for that region, Recognising Excellence.
- G4S Assessment Services (UK) Ltd (covering West Midlands and the South West for new clients only in competition with EMB Ltd and IBP Ltd)
- Lantra Sector Skills Council (to cover the environmental and land-based sector)
Existing centres that have not been offered new licences from April 2011 are West Midlands Quality Centre Ltd (West Midlands), EMQC Ltd (East Midlands), Assessment North East Ltd (North East) and The Assessment Network (TAN) Ltd (East of England). The following transition arrangements are being made to transfer their Investors in People services to the above successful applicants by end March 2011:
- For TAN Ltd, EMQC Ltd and WMQC Ltd - the existing client base will be transferred to EMB Excellence Ltd
- For ANE Ltd - the existing client base will be transferred to idg
The UK Commission will be writing to customers who are based in an area in which there will be a change of Investors in People Centre, and will work with both existing delivery Centres and incoming providers to ensure a smooth transition. Customers should not notice any significant difference to the service they receive.
A further announcement will be made once licences are signed by the successful parties around March 2011.
*subject to concluding formal licence discussions with each organisation
