Investment
We want to help business achieve its growth potential by co-investing with employers in skills solutions that have real impact for jobs and growth. We believe that solutions that are employer-owned are most likely to succeed, unlocking greater value and opportunity for growth. So far we have invested £111m in 124 projects across 36 different employer-led organisations. Our £111m has been matched by £103m of investment by employers. Summaries of all projects can be seen on the portfolio page.
Bringing industries and sectors together to improve the skills and productivity of their workforces is an important and exciting part of our work and one of the UK Commission’s main priorities. To help achieve this goal we are co-investing in employer-led solutions that have the potential to raise skill levels to drive enterprise and economic growth, and to create more and better jobs. To aid us we want to see a high level of support and commitment from employers and we will give priority to those solutions that can clearly demonstrate this.
All of our investment decisions are made by our Commissioners: a group of high-profile leaders from large, small and medium enterprises from the public, private and voluntary sectors. All are committed to investing in the skills of people to drive, enterprise, jobs and growth.
