Improve: Graduate Excellence
Improve's Graduate Excellence programme will create a ‘Centre of Excellence in Food Production Engineering’ within the UK and also a new Undergraduate level sandwich course in food engineering, through working with key industry employers and the Food & Drink Federation as part of their Graduate Ambition activity. It will establish this area as both a discipline and a profession in its own right.
The investment will also develop an applicant portal for use by employers and graduates to promote and ‘match’ themselves.

- Increase in sector GVA by £960,000 during the EIF funding period and projected £4.8m by 2018
- Employer training investment of £2.4m by 2018
- First cohort of 40 students enrolled to commence the programme in September 2014
