People 1st: Aligning employers and stakeholders to deliver sustained growth through skills

people1As part of the product development strategy for People 1st the proposal seeks investment to continue researching and developing initiatives that employers will invest in across all four nations to ensure it is able to respond to the changing and challenging economic climate.

The proposal has three strands of activity:;expert advice provision for stakeholders in all four nations; expert advice provision for employers in all four nations; engagement with employers and stakeholders to identify solutions to skills gaps that meet employer needs and each nation’s economic growth priorities;  

Return On Investment

  • Delivery of the EIF within each Nation will result in close liaison with stakeholders thereby identifying where initiatives can support National Priorities

Support the achievement of:

  • Success through Tourism Framework for Change in Scotland
  • Delivery of Future Skills Action plan in Northern Ireland
  • The Skills that work for Wales
