Skills for Logistics: Intelligent Logistics
With ‘Intelligent Logistics’, Skills for Logistics will drive employer ownership of the skills system through the collation of intelligence derived from employer-led, occupational groupings.
The intelligence gathered through this investment will be used to build a range of products to inform employer decision making and also the development of standards and qualification frameworks critical to the effective operation of the skills system for the sector.
Return on Investment
- 180 individual employers committed and actively involved in the collation of intelligence at an occupational level, and in the development of occupational standards.
- 70,000 employers receiving information and insight on skills development issues via electronic 'Upd@te'
- 70,000 employers receiving regular LMI and forecast reports which will drive informed decision making and investment in skills.
10,000 companies will be able to make informed decisions about their investment in skills through use of a ‘Skills Calculator’ which will calculate ROI.
- It is expected that these initiatives will contribute to as much as a 19% improvement in the numbers of logistics employers investing in skills by 2017.
