Skills For Justice: Working across boundaries

The Justice sector has identified a need to realise cost savings by working together more effectively. Skills For Justice will work with employers in clusters, align job functions and define roles and responsibilities across organisations.
Skills For Justice will also roll out a sector specific Leadership and Management offer across the UK, and evaluate the sector’s response to national emergencies to identify and address critical skills needs.
Return On Investment
- Developing tools to enhance collaboration and reduce duplication across the Justice sector will achieve annual cost savings estimated at £40m through a 25% increase in early guilty pleas by 2020
- Developing and rolling out an e-tool enabling the Police Service, Prison Service & Fire & Rescue Service in Northern Ireland to align courses will result in annual cost savings of up to £3m by 2015
