SSC Performance management

The SSC performance management handbook aims to provide guidance on how the UK Commission for Employment and Skills will manage and report on the performance of the SSCs.

These were developed following consultation with the SSC Network Performance Group, government and the Devolved Administrations.

Following the successful outcome of relicensing the UK Commission has worked with each SSC to confirm their funding allocation and agree the following:

  • Strategic/business plans
  • Footprints for their sector (SIC / SOC)
  • Contractual objectives, measures and targets as they relate to the minimum core specification and SSC strategic/business plans
  • Continuous improvement plan as it initially relates to the SSC's relicensing assessments
  • Contextualisation, if any, of the minimum core specification for the Sector (appendix 3)

Reporting SSC Performance

  • SSC Annual Performance Report 10-11 - The UK Commission has published its latest annual performance report on the work of the Sector Skills Councils..  The SSC Annual Performance Report provides an objective account of the work of the SSCs during 2010-11 against the requirements of the SSC core remit.
