Research Report No. 02 - Evaluation of the Trailblazer Phase of the SSC Network June 2003 This report evaluates the success of the Trailblazer phase of the Sector Skills Council network. It is based on in-depth research and interviews with key employers, stakeholders and staff of the five Trailblazer organisations.	Research Report No. 01 - Skills for Business 1000 June 2003 This report summarises the findings of a telephone survey of 1,000 UK employers across a range of sectors. The purpose of the survey is to measure awareness and engagement with the Skills for Business Network, and obtain employer views on a number of issues, including skill priorities.
Working Futures 2003-2004 Summary January 2004 The present set of results exploit fully the currently available data. However, the data upon which the local level results are based have been pushed to their limits. Many of the official data sets have not been designed to provide robust information at such a detailed level. This raises some important issues for national Government, and those that provide official statistics, about how existing data sources need to be extended and improved to meet these new requirements. Research Report No. 05 - Skills Pay: The Contribution of Skills to Business Success September 2004 This report examines the impact of skills and training on performance and productivity. Through a range of approaches, it looks at the benefits of training to individuals and businesses and the implication of embedding skills development within HR.
Skill and Training Requirements in the Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Industry in West Yorkshire November 2004 The results of a telephone survey conducted in June 2004, which focused on textiles, clothing and footwear employers in West Yorkshire compared with those in Leicestershire.	Skill and Training Requirements in the Vehicle Maintenance Industry in Devon and Cornwall November 2004 The results of a telephone survey conducted in June 2004, which focused on vehicle maintenance employers in Devon and Cornwall compared with those in Greater Manchester.
