This briefing paper explores survey findings from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) Employer Skills Survey (ESS) and Employer Perspectives Survey (EPS) on aspects of leadership and management including evidence of demand for management skills, skills gaps and provision of relevant training.

The report provides a starting point for discussion and demonstrates ways in which data from the UKCES surveys can be analysed and interpreted.
