Through this investment e-skills UK will develop a world-class pipeline of graduate talent into IT careers. Employers will support the enhancement of university degrees and offer attractive student placements, this will also address gender imbalance in IT degrees.

- 2,000 students have increased their value to employers by undertaking sector-backed courses and work placements
- Universities report stronger applications and improved gender balance on sector-accredited degrees
- Employers report improved capability and a stronger pipeline into IT
- Contribution to reducing unemployment, particularly of IT graduates, with an additional GVA of £81,000 per year per extra person employed
