Our remit

Our remit extends across the four home nations and, as a Non-Departmental Public Body, the Commission is accountable to the Secretaries of State for BIS and DWP and Ministers in HMT, DfE and the Devolved Administrations.

The remit letter sets out the UK Government’s and the Devolved Administration’s strategic purpose and high level responsibilities for the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.
