A scheme to give HE courses from across the Creative Industries the chance to undergo industry assessment has successfully completed its pilot phase, with 96 courses receiving the Creative Skillset Tick as a result. The accreditation pilot, set up in response to employer demand and funded by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, involved rigorous assessment by industry practitioners of 156 courses from 27 institutions across 12 subject areas.

The Cogent Technical Apprenticeship Service (TAS) has successfully secured funding from the UKCES (UK Commission for Employment and Skills) through the Employer Investment Fund to attract more females into science-based Apprenticeships. The programme aims to enhance female students’ awareness and understanding of Apprenticeship training and potential careers in the science-based industries.
